The largest gathering of people dressed as Doctor Who characters is 492 participants, achieved by Syfy Latinoamérica, during an event celebrating the show’s 9th season airing (post-revival) at La Mole Comic-Con, in Mexico City, Mexico, on 19 March 2016.
Peter Capaldi, the 12th Doctor, received the certificate on behalf of all “Whovians” participating in the attempt.
