The fastest robot to solve a puzzle cube is 0.38 seconds and was built by Ben Katz and Jared Di Carlo (both USA) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in March 2018.
Ben and Jared met at the MIT Electronics Research Society, MITERS, a student-run hackerspace. Throughout Independent Activities Period, they developed the robot.
